JC Kids is a ministry whose purpose is to equip the children of Roodewal with Godly principles so that they can develop their gifts and talents within every domain of society. This project hosts between 50 and 80 children every Sunday and provides an educational support base for the children as they attend school during the week.
Gloryland provides formative education, nutrition, and care for 110 Roodewal children. The school is divided into four sections: baby care, toddlers, play group, and pre-school. The pre-school class also has gymnastics and computer labas an extramural activity.
A low economy, overcrowding, and high alcohol and physical abuse in the Roodewal community have resulted in many children being forced to the streets of Worcester. They turn into crime to satisfy their hunger and to supplement their developed drug addictions.
Kibbutz El-Shammah provides a safe place for these children in the Breakfast Club, where they receive a meal and a place of counsel.
An education program has been developed to help bridge the gap between life on the streets and the schools. It incorporates the children back into the main stream of society.
